Is there really an easy backlink builder that’s effective?

The short answer to this question is yes. Before delving into the particulars however lets make sure that the basics are covered.

Why have backlinks and what are they?

Backlinks are hypertext (i.e. blue line) links that point to a particular page on your website from another website. These are seen by Google as a vote from the originating site indicating that the destination it is pointing to has some value. Whatever text the link has also tells Google what that page may be about. So if you have ten links pointing at your page that say some variation of “dog training” then your page may appear in the search listings for dog training. Other factors apply here too so don’t get too wrapped up in this explaination, it’s just cursory.

Google loves to use backlinks as a voting mechanism. The more links that say dog training from various sources the more likely it is to rise in the search results page for that search term. As long as the links are of decent value (not from spammy sites) Google will count them, raising your ranking and therefore increasing your amount of visitors to your site.

How do you build links?

The hard way to do it is to ask. You look for other websites that are somewhat related to your topic (not neccessarily compittion mind you) and attempt to contact the webmaster for the site. You offer the webmaster something useful on your site that they might can use such as great content that thier readers might could use or perhaps an application or program that is available. Alternately you can have an article written to give that somehow relates your website’s topic with the other webmaster’s topic and include links back to your site.

The up side to this is that you can come back with some high quality links which are very beneficial. The down side is that it is a huge amount of work involved. Between contacting webmasters that may ignore you to following up ensuring link placement to making sure that the content is relevant and interesting… it can be a daunding task.

Is there an easier way?

There are two ways that can make the effort easier. First is using a service that does it for you. This would be like you hiring someone else to find and create the links for you. This usually can be quite pricey and you have little control over where your links go.

Second is using a software sevice that automates the task for you. There are many versions of software out there that can provide this task, however none of them are equal. There are at least four traits that you need to look for in order to get your money’s worth.

Multiple IP addresses

Google loves variety. The more spread out across the internet the better.

One way links

Even the resembalcne of reciprical linking may hurt the linking power. Make sure that there are no required links back from your site.

Slow growth

Google loves to penalize for unusual activity. Make sure that the addition of links to your site are a few at a time so that it appears more natural

Customized links

Make sure that you can put your keywords in the links to your site. There is little use of backlinking if you can’t tell Google what your page is about through the link pointing back at you.

Backlink Sites – the Pros & Cons

No one wants to spend all of their time trying to get a few back links here and there to promote their website more. The time and effort is simply not worth it when you could be working on more important parts of your online business! So instead many people opt to use backlink sites to build a large amount of backlinks as quickly as they can but many do not take into account the quality of the site they use or the quality of the links.

You see not all links are created equal; some are downright inferior when it comes to helping your page rank and some are even detrimental too! Backlink sites that offer to give you heaps of links must be help accountable for the quality of those links. Quality backlinks come from three main things; Page Rank, Relevant Content & originality.

This means if you are trying to get a better rank for your sporting goods website you want links from other sites with a good page rank, content to do with sporting goods or sporting in general and with fresh original content that gives some value to the user; in fact all of those things are what YOUR pages should be too!

This does not mean that backlink sites cannot help, many of them adhere to these rules and give back an increase in ranking well worth the money invested and as a business that is exactly what you need to build a great site with good content. Leave the backlinking to those with the resources and get on with giving the user a great experience and you cannot go wrong!

Website Traffic: Getting the Better Backlink

Everyone agrees that getting backlinks, or links from other people’s sites, is important to helping your website get good page rank and thus visitors. However, did you know that not all backlinks are created equal?

For example, a common way of getting backlinks is exchanging links with other people’s sites — that’s called “reciprocal linking.” However, a much more valuable link in the search engine’s eyes is a one-way link from someone else’s website to your own.

Furthermore, the best one-way backlinks are from sites that are about a topic that is the same or similar to yours. So, for example, if your site is about fishing, then getting a link from another site about fishing is the best type of link you can get. The search engines call this “relevance” and relevant backlinks are always better than links from websites that have nothing to do with the subject of your website.

One of the best ways to get one-way, relevant backlinks is by submitting your site to directories, which is usually a free service, but some directories do charge a nominal fee. You can find a plethora of directories by going to Google and typing “search engine friendly directories” in the search bar.

When you visit one of these directories, you will see that a directory is a categorized index of websites. You will see main categories, such as Arts & Entertainment, Business, Computers, etc. Under each main category, you will find subcategories.

To submit your website to a directory, go to that directory and click on “Add URL” or a similarly named link, and then add your website to the appropriate category and subcategory. For example, if you are submitting your fishing website, look for the “Recreation” category (or something similar) and then the subcategory “Fishing.”

You will need to enter your website URL, the title of your website, a short description, a list of keywords, and an email address. It’s best to provide an email address related to your website. So if your website domain is myfishingsite.com then you would want to use an email address like webmaster@myfishingsite.com.

If your submission is accepted by the directory, then a link to your website will be published on a page that is only about fishing, thereby giving you a great one-way and relevant backlink. As a side note, you do not have provide a reciprocal link, although most directories will offer that option …

5 Proven Backlink Building Tactics For The Bloggers

Very often a blog is a sort of the side medium and the blog owner does not have enough time to build the required amount of backlinks. So it is very useful to know that the job can be automated.

This article tells about 5 backlink building techniques, which I have used successfully for my blog.

1.The Article Marketing.

It is easy to write articles if you are a blogger, the two jobs are so close to each other. The articles will bring a lot of backlinks rapidly, if the writer uses a mass distribution system to hundreds or thousands of websites and article directories.

These written articles must be optimized using effective keywords. This is cricial, because people will find the article using the same keywords than what the article writer has used.

The article writer, a blogger, has to remember that a mass distribution means a lot of dublicated content. This means that these widely distributed articles will not climb to the first places on the result pages of the search engines but will work effectively by bringing a lot of visitors and backlinks.

2.The Reciprocal Link Building

This is another effective way to get targeted visitors and links. The term reciprocal link means that your blog and another related blog both has a link pointing to each other. It is a sort of a co operation.

How you can get reciprocal links? Okay, first you can use a manual system and join some link exchange program or you can mail to a single blog owner and ask if he wants to change links. These both ways are relatively slow.

Then you can buy some software, which is a powerful way to build a lot of related links. However a blogger must be careful, because if the linklist will be too big, the search engines will see it as a sort of a link farm and punish the blog.

3. Take Your Blog To The Groups Of The Search Engines.

The biggest search engines have different groups and you can join some of them and get the blog url there. By writing some quality post you can get traffic to the blog and some backlinks.

4.The Blog Content Quality Is Still The King.

The most effective short and long term backlink builder is the quality content of the blog. This means that a blogger must take the blog seriously. It is not a diary but a business tool. When blog visitors like the content, they will bookmark the blog or even quote the posts, which both mean a good amount of backlinks, visitors and a nice image.

A blogger must never use his own articles as blog posts, because they are dublicate content.

5.Writing To The Forums.

The same topic forum posts work effectively in backlink building. Here also the quality works best. Every single post builds credibility and does the preselling work. When the blog url is in the sig file, every post build a backlink to the blog.

The posts can also be optimized, which makes it possible for the search engines to rank them on the result pages.

Do Backlink Generators Work?

I imagine people who spend all of their time concentrating on their online business without promoting it are like shop owners who open a store where it is cheap and just expect people to walk past them and buy stuff! In the real world this does not work and online this does not work. When you launch your site that site is in the same place that they small business was … on a road to no where without some hard work. This is where backlinks come in and more controversially where backlink generators come in too.

For your site to be noticed by the big search engines like Google, yahoo and the like it must have backlinks; one way links from other sites. The more backlinks you have the more the search engines believe it is a site of note and will raise it on its search rankings. Most people with a bit of experience online find this out and move on to the next stage which is frantically trying to get backlinks but many people go about this like that same small business owner, he rolls his sleeves up and starts handing out flyers on the street. While this works it takes a lot of time a commodity he is already short on.

So now you can see where the backlink generators come in to it. A site that can generate backlinks for you is like hiring a small army of people to hand out those flyers for you while you can dedicate more of your time actually making your business better and the cost you pay to get those links working can be made up by the increased business you get.

So this all sounds good but is it as easy as all that? Does the investment pay off and just how good are those backlink generators? The answer lies in the quality of the generator you use, those that use shifty black hat tactics or link farms offer you nothing that search engines like Google will accept because they give low quality links. You need a backlink generator that guarantees high quality links for it to be worthwhile and then you can rest easy and get on with the business of making money!

Not Very Good Backlink Generation Strategies

These are certain types of websites that are not worth getting a link from.

This will help you prevent wasting a lot of time. It does not mean these backlinks are totally useless. Every backlink is useful, but if you have limited time it is wiser to focus on more better strategies to get backlinks.

Remember that it is better that wehen you get a link, you do not change the anchor text. It is also better if you do not change the link that the anchor text points to. If you get a link with a specific anchor text, pointing to a specific page on your website, do not alter anything.

First of all classified sites are the type of websites you should avoid.

You get links, but your ads have to be renewed every seven, thirty or ninety days. If you do not renew your backlinks are no longer there. Just like I said, when getting backlinks, you want them static, ever lasting and not sometimes your link is up, and other times it is removed.

But what is the reason behind this, you may ask yourself.

A backlinks is good for your website, because it means your website is useful. Now if the specific website removes your link, then it is no longer useful.

Plus most of the time, classified websites do not link directly to your website.

The other type of website you should avoid are FFA sites.

FFA websites, just like classified websites require that you renew your ads, or the backlink is gone. You have to renew, each time using the same anchor text for best results. That is the title of the FFA ad.

Yahoo, MSN or Google groups, are starting to using nofollow tags, or they do not make links clickable. Just like other popular websites like social sites or video sites. So make sure you check before spending some money or time on submission to these type of websites.

If the link is not clickbank, spiders will not count it as a backlink, they will not crawl the link neither. Crawling a website simple means visiting the site. They only treat it as plain text.

Likewise, a link inside a drop down menu or flash will not get crawled because spiders unlike visitors do not read what is inside flash or use the mouse to open the drop down menu.

Most of the social bookmarking websites are also using nofollow tags. So bookmarking your blog posts and so on, is not something you need to spend time on. However there are still some who are still worth submitting to like sites that accepts stories.

So be careful, text links are what you should get, those count as backlinks. There are many ways to get backlinks, so focus on the good ways. There are enough ways to spend all your time on them. How many times have you tried searching for new ways to get backlinks? Remember, you do not have to reinvent the wheel which can be time consuming.
